I have had this camera for almost a year. I have not experienced the freezing the other reviewers discussed. However, it does not mean I have not had problems. I wouldn't call it freezing, but if my camera has been off for a while and I try to take a picture, it takes forever for the first shot. Then I am good to go for quite a while. Sometimes the pictures seem washed out or the auto adjust feature doesn't always adjust 100% or even 90% where it should be. I would not buy another one, but I have no plan on getting rid of mine anytime soon.

I read a lot of feedback about this camera and was nervous. I followed the advice of getting a big memory card and good rechargeable batteries and i have to say that I am very happy with this camera...so far. Good buy for the price indeed. Has a lot of very nice features. I would definitely recommend.

UPDATE: Bought in August. 2/13/09: This camera works great still! Have not had one problem with it in all this time. Still recommend highly. I truly did not need a huge card btw, I have used my 8GB card highest quality pics about 2000, 2GB highest quality about 500 and even a 128 MB card highest quality about 70 pics. So you really don't need that big of a card. You DO need a good amount of rechargeable batteries 2500mAh is recommended.
Excellent buy!

1 year update: Still works great!! Been taking a lot of movies and night pictures, also sunsets and sunrises. Still works perfect! Super highly recommend!!

Good solid camera. Soft key feature is nice and actually easy to use. Pocket size with solid metal case. Takes very clear photos. I see no down side for the averge user. Has to be one of the best buys avaailable.

It is an apple dock -> USB & 3.5mm jack Y cable, and quite nice cable at that.

However, the Apple dock cable they've used is to big to fit via an iPhone4 bumper.

This product description wasn't too helpful when I first bought the cable, so hopefully my explanation will help some people to decide.

This is a Y-shaped cable that has a iPhone/iPod connector at one end, and on the other end a USB and a 3.5mm aux output. Also provided is a low profile Car 9V -> USB adaptor, from which you can use to charge your iPhone or just about anything else that takes a USB.

One con to this product is that the aux does not work if the power(USB) is not plugged in. I can't think of a reason why this should be the case. Otherwise, the product works as described.

I'm very leery of purchasing anything these days that has no review to be found online. But, the description was exactly what I was looking for to control my HTPC, so I rolled the dice.

Arrived this morning. First impression - It's tiny. Just slightly larger than a credit card. Feels very good in hand, sturdy, like it can be dropped a few times and not break. The USB was stuck in it's holder. After prying it out, I plugged it in. Works perfectly!

Touchpad -
The touchpad is exactly what you'd expect. Kudos to Hawking for the accelerometer. When you pick up the remote, up is always "up", which is nice. I haven't gotten the rotate feature to work yet, but I haven't tried much nor care much. The circle button acts as a right mouse button. Scrolling and zooming can sometimes be confused with each other, but it's not that big a deal. Very responsive, easy to use.

Keyboard -
The Keyboard toggle switch is easy - just hold down the button for a second or so and the backlight is on indicating keyboard mode. Typing is very fast - the backlight flicks slightly after each keypress as a confirmation. So far it seems pretty intuitive with the "shift" commands. if you toggle to numbers, it stays there until you toggle back. Shift is only on for one press. Smart.

I'm happy my gamble paid off. This will fit nicely in the Living Room remote tray. Very tiny, but very useable. Thanks Hawking!

This is an awesome looking piece of equipment for my Home Theater PC. When the remote works, it works great. Mouse movement is natural and quick to respond. An internal sensor knows which way the remote is oriented and adjust mouse movement to match. The keyboard is easy to use, with a bright backlight. The symbol and number buttons are easy to get used to if you've ever used a smart-phone keyboard. Battery life is great, and it fits conveneintly with the other remotes on the coffee table without adding a lot of clutter.

Unfortunately, the initial wow-factor is about all it has going for it. Often times once turned on, the mouse will not move and pressing the "home" button (to switch to keyboard mode) does not respond at all. The fix is simple, turn device off and then turn on again. Should that really be necessary, though? The problem occurs about 1/4 to 1/3 of uses.

I had to RMA my first one because it did not function properly at all... once I turned the remote on, it just started typing random letters (usually A and Q). Getting the replacement fixed that, at least, though I had to pay for shipping.

If the remote keyboard worked 100% of the time as well as it does when it's functioning correctly, this would be my favorite piece of technology. It looks like it needs a little work, though.

The Pros:
- its compact, only slightly larger than a credit card.
- Charge time is very quick and it holds one with regular use for quite some time.
- The mouse / keyboard combo is awesome to have in such a small package.
- The range is just fine from my experience (~20 feet in my house).
The Cons:
- first one came DOA, Return was painless through amazon, but every time you pushed a key it would always type the one above it, and the mouse didn't work at all.
- No tactile feedback of any kind can be a little frustrating. Sometimes you're sure you pressed the right key but then there is nothing on the screen. Even a simple clicking sound would suffice to know you successfully hit it.
- You just can't type fast, not because of the spacing of keys or anything, I'm pretty quick on a smart phone with much smaller keys, its like the device can't keep up.

Basically using this to browse menus on XBMC or windows media center, and typing a few words works great, but much more than that gets a little annoying. I might end up with a full keyboard because I have thousands of movies and I like searching rather than scrolling for the one I want. I will say this would make an excellent presentation remote since it has a full (almost) keyboard and a mouse in one device.

First off, the horn had a large dent in it, no doubt from the shipping but it isn't affecting the sound quality. This horn gets decently loud. Just in case anyone else is wondering, there is no aux port on this speaker, just a left and right speaker wire. So I bought an RCA to AUX cable and spliced / soldered it to the speaker wire on the speaker and plugged the aux into the radio and it works fine.

Amazing product! Mounts directly into your cigarette lighter and powers the iPod flawlessly. This is NOT some flimsy plastic piece of junk, this mounting device holds strong and the soft clamps on the side holds the device without fail. Device angles to optimal access and stays in place when pushing buttons. The sound comes in clear and strong.

Great for what it does. It charges and plays at the same time. Love that feature. The holder isn't quite tight enough to hold the ipod in place so its constantly dangling from the cord. I've had to put a hair tie around the entire base to hold the ipod in place. The holder is a bit big and bulky and blocks access to cup holders. In a smaller car it bumps against the gear changer. The idea of it all is great if your going to plug in and let play. My kids say that its too hard to access for song surfing as teenagers feel the need to do. It needs a longer cord.

I purchased this cake topper for my upcoming wedding in October '11. I looked at many cake toppers before coming upon this one. I thought the two separate pieces were cute and unusual. My wedding cake is just simple enough that the two piece cake topper will "stick out" and be visible, and not buried in sugar flowers! There will be cascading sugar flowers, but very simple, but the cake topper pieces will fit in perfectly.
I guess my only real "complaint" would be the price. I think the price of the two pieces is a bit high for what you are actually getting. Everything that is purchased that involves the word "wedding" you can be assured that the price goes up, up, up.
Other than that, I am looking forward to seeing this cake topper on my wedding cake in October on our special day!!!

I bought these batteries to supplement the original Canon battery I received with my T2i. They are insufficient in performance, lasting way too short for film work and cutting out with little to no warning. I don't recommend these, as tempting as they are for their price. The original batteries from Canon are expensive, but they are workhorses, which you need when shooting in the field.

I don't have a long experience with these batteries, but they are working fine and they fit the Canon T2i well. They seem to last about as well as the stock Canon battery.

Got these batteries in a pinch since no one had new LP-E8 batteries for anything less than $80 at the time. They certainly feel like cheaper versions, but overall work pretty good. The only thing keeping these from getting all 5 stars is that die almost instantly when the battery level drops. With the real LP-E8 I've been able to shoot video for at least 5-10 minutes when the battery level drops to the last of 3 segments on the camera display. With these knock off batteries YOU BETTER CHANGE YOUR BATTERY AS SOON AS THE BATTERY LEVEL INDICATOR DROPS TO 2 OF 3 SEGMENTS! I don't think these have the full 1100mAh that the LP-E8s do but they will definitely get me through a 16GB card only shooting video and then about 4-6GB more before I have to switch to a new battery.

Overall with these 2 batteries and the original LP-E8 that came with my T2i I can shoot about 3.5 to maybe 4 hours of video. I have used these almost exclusively for the past month to really test them and have no complaints other than the need to change the battery as soon as the indicator drops. I will definitely pick up another pair in the future along with one other real LP-E8, should be good for a whole day of shooting with 4 of these and 2 originals.

I had to replace a friend's Laptop keyboard and this was the cheapest one out of all of them. This was just as good though. Perfect quality. Brand new.

I replaced the keyboard in my HP DV7 notebook. Took about 20 minutes, used this youtube video to do it (he does it in 6 minutes) [...] . Keyboard works great. The locks on the ribbon cable are very delicate. I broke one of the tabs on mine, so when you get to this point be careful.

First, Perfect replacement product, works fine.

Bummer - Keys are copper with black letters. Really hard to see if needed.

Replacement is relatively easy, if you have some skills.

I recently bought furniture covers for all our patio furniture. While it may be my mistake in not reading the description fully but this cover just has small velcro straps at the corners. All the other covers (same brand) had elastic drawstrings and plastic buckle fasteners. The cover works and has so far stayed on the table, but it is early in the winter.

I own the older Pulse SmartPen (not the newer Echo) so my model is a bit bigger. That said, it has no problem fitting in this case. There's also room for a cable, and even a few pens and pencils if they are the right length.

All in all, it's a functional case, and I like it a lot better than the standard case that comes with the pen. I can toss this into my bag with my books and notebook and not worry about anything getting damaged.

I deducted two stars because the material is cheap feeling - its faux leather and the texture is just not particularly pleasing. From a distance it looks like leather, which is good, but it's definitely not (nor does it claim to be, so my star reduction is not for that, but rather for the material they did use). The inside lining is a nice felt/velvety material that protects the contents well.

The second star was for the zipper and the price. I think this is a bit pricey for what you get, and the zipper is a bit difficult to get closed at times. I've had to wrangle with it more often than not. Not a huge deal, but at the end of class when I want to pack up and get going, to spend a minute trying to close the case just seems unnecessary. Take this as you will - it could be user error or maybe I just have a slightly funky zipper on mine - but it's worth noting.

It's definitely a step up from the standard case and if you are a LiveScribe junkie like me, you'll appreciate this addition to your repertoire.

I have the Echo 4GB smart pen. I bought this because I had a gift certificate to another retailer, who I usually never shop from, and had been wanting it for a long time. That being said I wanted it but was not willing to pay twenty-five dollars of my own money for it and, had it been a store I shop at regularly I probably would have purchased something else. Here's why:

Pros:
-Roomy: Holds my Echo securely, also held my friends Pulse comfortably as well as both the pens together.
- keeps things organized.
- hard-shell design: keeps the pen from getting crushed by a book in my book bag
- Tough: holds up to regularly being in a purse or book bag and gets knocked around at the bottom quite a bit, yet it hasn't dented or torn yet....

Cons:
- Material: feels cheap outside is plasticy while inside is some fake suede looking stuff, definitely not worth 25 dollars.
- no place to put spare ink: you would think the little mesh pocket would be the perfect place but even when it is carried carefully by hand all the inks get loose inside the case. I resolved this by putting the inks into a small plastic container that used to hold the spare pencil leads. The container at least stays put.
- zipper: stiff and gets caught up at corners. Also I feel it is upside down in that it starts to open at the bottom. I tend to stand the case straight up and down in my bags and a few times when I had been in a rush and not zipped it all the way, things would fall out from bottom when I would take it out from my bag. Maybe its nit-picky but I find it counter intuitive and a pain.


All in all it does its job as intended, it could be designed a little better and made with better materials. My biggest issue is that I feel it is not worth the price they are asking for it.

Is that Kensington is an EXCELLENT COMPANY that KNOWS HOW TO CARE FOR ITS CUSTOMERS.

I have a Mac iBook and I have had no trouble -- maybe there is just some incompatibility with the 13" model people are complaining about...

BUT, I will not disclose the nature of my problem with my old cable lest people try to take advantage -- lets just say that *I* did something really stupid. Kensington REPLACED my cable for free, even though what happened to it was TOTALLY MY FAULT, and they knew it!!

I just think that a company that cares about its customers this much deserves to be acknowledged and deserves 5 stars!

Also, here is something I learned on the Learning Channel back when they showed studies and not just Choppers and people decorating their neighbors' houses with plywood and spray-paint...

There was a study where, before people got up to walk away from their stuff, on beaches, in libraries, in cafes and bars, etc., they asked a complete stranger to keep an eye on it...then they sent in someone else to lurk around the stuff and maybe try to take something. In *EVERY* case, EVERY SINGLE CASE!, the stranger got up to defend the things they were asked to watch. There is something about entrusting your stuff to another person that makes that person take your side and feel a responsibility to back up their promise.

Think about your own experience...isn't there something that makes you extra-vigilant when someone says, "Hey, can you watch my stuff?"

So DO lock up your computer with the Kensington, but then, just ask anyone to also watch your stuff for you and if they say they will, they will. Then you have 2 deterrents to theft. Nothing is ever going to totally protect your computer from theft, but this cable and other humans work pretty darn well.

The cable itself is OK, but the lock is very poor quality. The internal mechanism on my lock unscrewed itself from the body of the lock after about six uses -- and no, it was not tampered with, or at least the anti-tamper mechanism had not been activated. This product is worth about $5 and does nothing more than avoid tempting honest people. I'm sure the proper tool would pop the lock out of the security port in two seconds.

I just bought one of these at our University Bookstore, and returned it a week later.

Specifically:

* I used it on my 13" MacBook, it pulled and warped the exterior plastic each time I locked the computer, enough so that it wouldn't surprise me if continued usage of this lock would permanently damage the MacBook casing.

* A store employee who recommended the product tried to show me how to "correctly" use the lock. Not only did it warp the plastic for him, too, but to his apparent surprise, it also took him several frustrating minutes just to get the lock on and off. He indicated that the quality appears to have dropped considerably from the Kensington unit he had previously purchased.

Thus, I cannot recommend this product for 13" MacBook users. Users of other computer models may wish to exercise caution when purchasing as well.

This is a very cute baby flashlight. It has 3 multi-colored LED lights that flash after the button on the handle is pulled. Plus, there are little chewing bugs on the bottom ring and the bottom ring clicks when it is spun. The only downside to this toy for us is that it is too hard for our 9 month old to pull the handle down to start the flashing lights. But, he loves it when we do it for him.

We had purchased this toy for our son when he was younger. The reality is this... it lights up just a bit and it has two little toys at the end that a child could teeth with. The downfall of it all is that it is too heavy for a child to carry if they are in the everything in their mouths stage. Pretty boring, heavy and he doesn't touch it.

Stay away unless you child shows a true interest at the toy store.
